History Lesson

"Find a job you love and you'll never do a day's work in your life"

Confucious

You sure ? Confucious, in the fifth century BC, was reflecting on the benefits of finding your ideal "job" was he ? I find that hard to believe. I would have thought they'd have been more interested in feeding themselves in those days. As you may have guessed, I've not studied ancient Chinese civilisation though. More of a WW2 man.

Out yesterday. Loads of birds singing. Tits and finches of various types, woodpeckers, a kestrel, a pair of buzzards, loads of waders, a huge flock of knot moving back and forth along the mudflats, an amazing sight. Seems to be massive numbers of brent geese in the fields too.

It's now 3 o clock on a Sunday afternoon, a time a wise man once said was "too late or too early to do anything"

February later this week. Toodle pip.

  1. Febuary fill-dyke they call it round here, usually the bleakest month of the year. Just saying...

  2. No it's not, it's better than January because we're nearer to spring. Onward and upward.

  3. February fill-dyke round here too, and they are filling up. Snowdrops out though so hope is on the horizon. John
